This promo video for the upcoming PC game “Deus Ex: Human Revolution” is worth watching even if you’re not a sci-fi fan. Detailing real-world developments in robotics and prosthetics, this is another case of science fiction getting smashed on the windshield of the present, and it has astonishing implications beyond overcoming physical disabilities. Cloning, genetic manipulation, robotics, cybernetics, augment technology are very real issues that not only invite but demand serious consideration. Poet9’s Brain Box isn’t far off.
