They say the internet is for porn, but here’s a genuine benefit of WWW technology on par with TED Talks:PaperBackSwap.com
Essentially a huge used book trading site, (five million listed books) I’m grateful to whoever set this up. Create an account and post that stack of old paperbacks by logging the ISBNs into the database. Then when another member requests one of your titles, simply ship it via Media Mail to receive a credit. That credit then allows you to request a title from another member. All it costs is the price of postage. No fees, no dues, no registration. I’ve exchanged 99 books since Oct 2009, that have supposedly traveled over six thousand miles. Sign up and take advantage of a great service.
