The short story “Sozo” is now available at Amazon for Kindle, IPad, or whatever your flavor of eReader. Set in a fictional near-future, it is a redemptive story focused on a combat vet who faces hard choices instead of easy answers. A hair under 5K words, it’s only .99. All the proceeds for Dec/Jan will be donated to The Wounded Warrior Project.
Thank you and happy new year.

A quick fiction-related note on my latest release. Wargaming content on the way, promise.
The cover looks great, and my understanding is that a good cover is half the battle when it comes to attracting customers. I’m new to this and slowly dipping my toes into researching the self-publishing world, so any tips you have to offer, they’d be welcome. Good luck and may you receive many purchases and downloads!
Thanks for stopping by, then taking time to comment.
There are plenty of sites for indie writer, most with more succinct advice than I could offer. I would only echo theirs: write what you love, edit twice, hire professional cover artists, buy your own ISBNs, etc.
The only thing I could add would be ‘take the long view’. Writers write, so keep writing.
My artist mantra:
“Mastery is not something that strikes in an instant, like a thunderbolt, but a gathering power that moves steadily through time, like weather.”
