I just discovered Running Black and I am eager for more, however I am having trouble finding a printed version of the follow-up Eshu International novel. I would very much appreciate any help you can give me. I loved the book and am planning on ordering the first Clarity Wars novel soon. I do pray you haven’t gone exclusively e-book/kindle, I prefer the weight and smell of the printed word.
I hope this note finds you well, please don’t hesitate to email me, I look forward to your reply.
A new fan,
Thanks for the kind words.
I plan on releasing a print version of Shift Tense late this year. It will have the three current segments – Red Flags, Soldier Dreams, and Angels – plus two Eshu International prequel short stories. Until then however, the three portions are only available in Kindle format.
I agree with the heft of a printed page, but as an indie author I have to yield to hard numbers: my electronic to print ratio is 200+ to 1. POD books simply aren’t cost effective compared to e-versions or big house mass market paperbacks. Folks are gracious enough to take a chance on a new author like me, but not at $16 a pop.
I’m grateful you enjoyed RB and then took the time to contact me. (And I appreciate the indirect reminder to finish the next batch of Clar1ty Wars stories)
Thank you so much for the quick response, I really appreciate you taking the time to respond to my inquiry. I think your debut novel was very well written and quite interesting, I enjoyed getting to know the characters and loved the fact that you got me emotionally involved with them instead of them taking a backseat to the action, unfortunately not all authors seem to understand the importance of character development so kudos to you on that note! I just placed my order for Clarity Wars today and will happily snatch up every printed book you publish! I am proud to have your work on my shelves alongside my other favorite authors.
I would also love to add you to my signed first edition shelf if there is any way to work that out.
I can’t wait for later this year!
